We can say that in our days nothing is impossible from a technological point of view. Everithing we use comes in all shapes and sizes from the largest to the smallest: TVs, phones, computers, etc.

Did you ever do something stupid when you thought that nobody was looking? Probably you did. There is a possibility, that later a friend showed you a video that you thought you will never see. How did someone manage to get you on tape, if you made sure that you were alone? Or you weren't alone?

What could seem any more harmless, then a lipstick? I tell you, nothing. But what if that lipstick is more than a usual lipstick? Is it a super-lipstick? No. Better. It is a lipstick camera. Never heard of it? Then let me tell you what it is.



The lipstick camera, also called bullet camera is a very small video or still camera the size and shape of a lipstick. It's size makes it possible to use it for a wide variety of actions. I believe the most interesting of them are the spying activities. It's size being so small makes it possible for one to carry it with him/her undetected. It can be mounted on almost anything, from helmets to cars.

There are two possibilities to use it: the information gathered with it can be stored on an internal storage device or it can send signals to a nearby receiver.

The producers can make them either of very high quality, with good resolution or of poorer quality. Even in this case it can store a great number of footages, but this can be grainy or imperfect in any other way.

There are numerous legal ways of using them, but as I have already suggested, most people use them as spy devices, which, let's face it, isn't quite legal. Another interesting usage of it is to use it az a security camera. The villains will never know what hit them. If we take the case os a clothing store, thiefs will probably be careful around traditional security cameras, but it is a lot easyer to catch them on tape, if they don't know about the existence of the camera. Since security cameras aren't used only indoors, some producers produce even weather resistant lipstick cameras.



There is a great variety of lipstick cameras, there are both black and white cameras, but you can also find them in colors.

They can be purchased in many photo shops or from retailers specialized in clandestine observation equipment. If you purchase one, you should make sure that you got the real thing, so you'd better buy it from a real shop.

I believe that is getting a bit scary to live with all these electronic gadgets all around us. One can never know when he/she is caught on tape. I suggest you look around next time before you do anything you shouldn't, whether that is illegal, goofy or simply embarrassing, you can never know who is watching you.
